Some of you may recall from our chairman's Christmas message we would be continuing our custom of donating to charity instead of sending out Christmas cards. Our chosen charity last year was Sightsavers to whom we were very pleased to donate £1,000

Make your resolution as simple as possible and create as few as absolutely necessary. Life has many competing priorities that the feasibility of handling so many changes at once is daunting and impractical, having a laundry list of objectives just makes it easier to abandon. You should also keep your ambition from getting ahead of you and try to steer clear of such huge targets that in the light of time has no real markers on whether you're actually getting closer to achieving it, this will only lead to frustration and again the abandonment of the resolution. 

A new and slowly growing trend is to be transparent with your resolutions, perhaps telling your family and friends what you intend to do, this would increase accountability if you're really confident or if you have a serious resolution then sharing them on your preferred Social media page could motivate you suitably. 

With all this in mind, whether you're pushing for more coffee sales this year or are wanting to get into shape then tracking your progress and results are a must and are sure to act as your motivator for achieving or coming close to you completing the resolution.
