Masteroast Coffee Company Ltd. recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods, with regular review points. We will encourage customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to do the same.
The Company is proactive on environmental issues affecting the local community.
The Company recognises that its consumers, neighbours and the wider general public expect that such a business needs to pay particular regard to the impact of its activities on the environment.
The Company therefore believes it is important to establish and maintain an acceptable environmental standard against which all of the activities of the Company can review and judged.
The Company is committed to continuously improving its environmental performance and will seek to reduce environmental impacts where applicable.
The Company hereby undertakes that it will ensure that each of its employees understands this standard and the Company’s commitment to the environment.
In so far as is possible, the Company will ensure that its business dealings are limited to other organisations that are also committed to achieving acceptable environmental standards.
The Company will strive to meet, and where possible exceed, all environmental and legal requirements regarding its properties, processes, products and waste.
Our environmental commitment can be demonstrated in our established objectives and goals below.
• Compliance with all applicable standards, laws, requirements, regulations and public/customer expectations.
Practicing pollution prevention in order to reduce waste and minimise consumption through the following:
• Implementing water and energy conservation.
• Recycling and reusing materials when and where possible.
• Commitment to sustainable growth by achieving Investors in the Environment accreditation by the end of 2021.
• Minimising unsustainable transport use.
• Working with suppliers to ensure they acknowledge and decrease the environmental impact of their products and transportation.
• We will involve staff in the implementation of this policy, for greater commitment and improved performance.
• We will provide staff with relevant environmental training.
Responsibility.
HR Manager has day to day responsibility for ensuring that the environmental policy is implemented. However, all employees have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met.
Masteroast Coffee Company Ltd will make the details of its environmental policy available to the general public including making a copy available on the company’s website if requested, and will regularly audit its activities to ensure that they are meeting statutory requirements.
